Gospo Centric Goes Stellar

Gospo Centric Records will present an exciting double-bill during the upcoming Stellar Awards weekend in
Atlanta, GA. A live video shoot and a celebrity basketball game will take place following the 2003 Stellar Awards, where Gospo
Centric artists have captured eight nominations including Artist of the Year (Kirk Franklin) and Female Vocalist of the Year (Dorinda
Clark-Cole).
The Dorinda Clark-Cole video shoot is scheduled for Sunday, January 12 at 7:30 p.m. at New Birth Cathedral in Atlanta and will
include special guests Natalie Wilson & the S.O.P. Chorale along with Gospel legend Percy Bady. One-third of the renowned
Clark Sisters Gospel group, Clark-Cole celebrated the launch of her solo career this summer by opening for the legendary Patti
LaBelle (for which she received a standing ovation) and nabbing three Stellar Award nominations. She has shared the stage with
mainstream artists such as Stevie Wonder and Dionne Warwick, as well as Gospel artists including Donnie McClurkin and
Tramaine Hawkins. A distinguished minister as well as a vocalist, Clark-Cole made history by becoming the first African-American
woman to preach from a South African pulpit before a crowd of over 4,000.

Dove Award-winning, Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer Percy Bady’s list of credits is impressive. He has
written hits for artists such as Yolanda Adams (“Still I Rise”) and the power trio of BeBe & CeCe Winans and Whitney Houston
(“Hold up the Light”). His producer credits include hitmakers Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, Trin-i-tee 5:7, Ray Bady and
Rev. Milton Brunson. Percy Bady1s solo debut is set to bow later this year.
Three-time Stellar Award nominee Natalie Wilson & the S.O.P. Chorale have enjoyed the successful release of their debut project
Girl Director, which peaked in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart. The group’s sophomore project will release
later this year.
The Gospo Centric Celebrity Basketball Game will take place on Monday, January 13 at the Family Life Center at New Birth
Cathedral in Atlanta, and will include performances by acclaimed Gospo Centric recording artists Ray Bady and Papa San. Celebrity
players will include Ray Bady, Percy Bady, famed record producer Rodney Jerkins (Britney Spears, Kirk Franklin), Aaron
Courseault, Ben Tankard, Bishop Eddie Long and surprise special guests.
Ray Bady’s debut project, Mission K.O.B. (Keep On Believin’), was released earlier this year and features lyrics that speak of
eternal truths combined with a sound on the cutting edge of Hip-Hop. Bady is one of the most sought-after drummers and drum
programmers in the world and has worked with the top names in gospel and mainstream music including Kirk Franklin, BeBe
Winans, R. Kelly, Yolanda Adams, Trin-i-tee 5:7 and Marvin Sapp.
Papa San, who had his first hit while still a teenager in the mid-1980s, will release his new project, God and I, in March 2003. His
unique brand of Gospel/Dancehall music was recently featured in his duet with labelmate Kirk Franklin (“He Reigns”) on The
Rebirth of Kirk Franklin. Papa San has landed numerous videos in heavy rotation on MTV and has shared the stage with Mary
Mary, Trin-i-tee 5:7, Donnie McClurkin, Hezekiah Walker and BeBe & CeCe Winans.
Gospo Centric & B-Rite Music, owned by Vicki Mack-Lataillade and her husband Claude, was founded by Ms. Mack-Lataillade in
1993 with $6,000 she borrowed from her father1s postal pension. Among her first signings was Kirk Franklin, whose albums have
sold over 11 million copies, making him one of the most successful Gospel artists of all time. Moreover, his groundbreaking style
and sound has led a revolution among Gospel artists, with “Lean On Me” garnering a Grammy nomination for “Song of the Year,”
an unprecedented honor for a Gospel artist.
Other Gospo Centric & B-Rite Music artists include Gospel music stalwart Tramaine Hawkins; the Gold-selling Kurt Carr & the
Kurt Carr Singers; and Trinitee 5:7, whose debut CD is nearing Platinum.
