Gospel Superfest IV Hits Jacksonville

The stars will shine when the highly anticipated Gospel Superfest IV television
production hits Jacksonville, FL on November 8-9, 2002 at the Times Union Center. To officially announce the event, United
Television, LLC of Beavercreek, Ohio, producer of Gospel Superfest IV, will hold a sneak peak press conference on Monday,
September 16, 2002 at 1:00 pm EST in the lobby of the Times Union Center for the Performing Arts in Jacksonville. Speakers at
the press conference will include Dr. Bobby Cartwright, executive producer of the Gospel Superfest IV; Allen & Allen Music
Group recording artist, 7th Element; Shabach/Marxan recording artist, Rufus Troutman; Ms. Kia Jones, publicist for the Gospel
Superfest and other surprise guests. Representatives from Proctor & Gamble, the official sponsors of the two-day extravaganza,
will also be on hand to discuss their involvement in the event.
In addition to 7th Element and Rufus Troutman, Gospel Superfest IV’s line-up includes renowned performers: The Mighty
Clouds of Joy, The Christianaires, Trin-i-tee 5:7, The Williams Brothers, Kurt Carr and the Kurt Carr Singers, Keith
“Wonderboy” Johnson, Vanessa Bell Armstrong and Dorothy Norwood. Woody Rock of Dru Hill, Angie Winans, Dorinda
Clark Cole and comedian, Jonathan Slocum (Clyde of “The Steve Harvey Show”) will also perform for the nationally
syndicated television special. Clifton Davis, this year’s host, has achieved success in numerous fields including acting (box
office blockbuster, “Any Given Sunday”; NBC hit series, “Amen”), composing, preaching, philanthropy and writing.
Proctor & Gamble Hair Division’s Head & Shoulders and Pantene Pro-V are this year’s official corporate sponsors. To
promote this event, Proctor & Gamble will partner with The Gospel Superfest to execute a national print and radio campaign
targeting all major U.S. cities. United Television, LLC will produce two one-hour specials: “The Gospel Superfest 2nd Annual
Holiday Special” and “The Gospel Superfest 3rd Annual Salute to Gospel History,” which will air in December of this year
and January 2003 respectively.
The Gospel Superfest is a two-day mega event produced and recorded for syndication to provide solid family programming for
national audiences, and to provide an outlet for performers of the gospel music and R&B genres. The event reaches over 100
million TV households quarterly via national syndication in major markets such as New York City (WABC-ABC), Los Angeles
(KCAL-IND), Atlanta (WXIA-NBC), and Washington, D.C. (WJLA-ABC), making it the premier gospel music television
