Nashville’s own Michael W. Smith joined Wynonna and other dignitaries who were honored with stars on Nashville’s Walk of Fame this afternoon. Promoted as part of GMA Week activities, the event drew a modest but enthusiastic crowd.
Wearing sunglasses, both artists took time to talk to fans and interviewers and to pose for photos after the event.

The crowd at the Walk of Fame may have been modest, but the Ryman was surrounded by an eager throng a half hour before the beginning of the Sunday night worship concert, hosted by Michael W.
Back at the Renaissance, artists like Sink or Swim were doing sound checks for their upcoming showcases.
I found new group EleventySeven roaming the halls with a robot. I was told the robot was the fourth member of the group and invited to pose with them… and it… for a photo op. Before the camera clicked I was asked, “Are you a gangsta?” I thought only Vulcans on “Star Trek” twisted their fingers into special signs like this.
There is always something unexpected to see at Gospel Music Week. Stay tuned for more GMA Journal reports!
