Rocketown Records recently announced a 13-city December tour to support its various artists Christmas release, Gloria. Produced by Runway Network’s Charlie Peacock and Scott Dente, Gloria includes both traditional Christmas classics and new original songs written in community by the artists. David Breen of The Breen Agency is booking the tour surrounding the Gloria CD, with confirmed concerts in Wheaton, Ill., Houston, Texas and Lakeland, Fla., among others. Rocketown artists Watermark, Ginny Owens, Shaun Groves, Alathea, George Rowe and Taylor Sorensen are confirmed for the tour along with longtime Rocketown friend Cindy Morgan.
The tour is partnering with child development organization Compassion International to drive child sponsorships. Suzie Johnson, artist relations manager for Compassion, says, “During this special season, we are honored to be involved with Rocketown and these outstanding artists. The impact of this one evening and how God can use it to not only entertain hearts but to feed souls ensures that the impact will be felt far beyond the tour. We believe that this will be a great opportunity for families to reach out by sponsoring a child and tangibly taking the message of Christ around the world to children in need.”
David Breen says, “I am excited to be involved in the booking of this year’s Gloria Christmas Tour. The bringing together of so many talented singer/songwriters on one stage to present this wonderful story of our Savior’s birth will be an evening that we feel will become an annual touring tradition and grow over the coming years. I think that we will not only see the whole family wanting to attend these concerts but also churches using these songs to usher in the Christmas season.”
