Irish modern hymn writers and recording artists Keith & Kristyn Getty will return to the United Kingdom and Ireland this fall to headline the “In Christ Alone Tour,” with guests Alistair Begg and Stuart Townend.
Kicking-off in Dublin on October 19, the “In Christ Alone Tour” is also slated to hit London, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Cardiff. Additionally, the Tour will stop in Liverpool on October 21 for a special concert as part of the city’s designation as the European Capital of Culture 2008. Along with the Gettys, the UK dates will feature Alistair Begg, senior pastor of Cleveland, Ohio’s Parkside Church and host of the “Truth For Life” radio broadcast, along with acclaimed worship leader and songwriter Stuart Townend. A local Christian orchestra will also perform at each concert.

The “In Christ Alone Tour” will arrive in Ireland and the UK with a threefold purpose: to be a ministry to believers by presenting the Gospel of Christ through music and words; to be a ministry to the Church by introducing new hymns and songs for congregational singing; and to be a ministry to unbelievers, as the Gospel is sung, taught and then explicitly presented by Alistair Begg.
“Since the day we moved to the United States, we have looked forward to the opportunity to return home to Ireland and the UK for a concert tour,” said Keith Getty. “To be able to play with wonderful local orchestras at fantastic venues, along with our close friends Alistair Begg and Stuart Townend, is a true honor and joy for Kristyn and I.”
The Gettys’ international appearances come amidst a groundbreaking season of touring to introduce their modern hymns in the United States. The couple’s Dove Award-nominated stateside debut, In Christ Alone (Gettymusic Label), released last year via KOCH Records in association with Martingale Music. Produced by Keith Getty and John Andrew Schreiner (Fernando Ortega, City On A Hill) In Christ Alone includes Keith & Kristyn Getty’s first Top 5 Inspirational radio hit, “There Is A Higher Throne,” as well as renditions of many of their best-loved hymns, including “The Power of the Cross” and the title cut, both co-written by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend.
Keith & Kristyn Getty have appeared at events in conjunction with this year’s National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., and at Mount Rushmore on the National Day of Prayer. In addition, the couple returned to Northern Ireland in April, joining the Franklin Graham Crusade in Belfast, shortly after performing in the UK at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall with the All Souls Orchestra.
Later this month, Keith & Kristyn Getty are slated to perform alongside Kirk Franklin and Casting Crowns, among other artists, at the Franklin Graham Crusade in Charleston, South Carolina.
