The General Jackson® Showboat announced today the
schedule of festivities for the 21st annual holiday cruise celebration.
Our 300-foot paddlewheel riverboat cruises the Cumberland River to bring
an exciting way to dine, to be entertained and to catch a glimpse of the
Nashville skyline from the river this holiday season.
“Nashville is known as ‘Music City’ around the nation and has become a
top city to visit. The General Jackson Showboat continues its grand
southern tradition of drawing thousands of guests to our attraction
during the busy holiday season,” said Dennis Schnurbusch, General
Jackson Showboat’s General Manager. “The Christmas season would not be
the same if visitors were unable to experience our decorated 300-foot
paddlewheel riverboat in the traditional Christmas theme.”
The General Jackson Showboat offers a full line of entertainment suited
for anyone’s taste buds for this holiday season. This year’s morning
and midday shows will feature Tim Watson in Now That’s A Country
Christmas(r) beginning on November 16. This country-comedy holiday show
features Tim Watson and Band performing famous Christmas songs such as
“Tennessee Christmas” and “Christmas in Dixie,” played by the Alabama,
fire-breathing, fiddling man himself.
Holiday evening cruises aboard the General Jackson are magical. These
cruises are an elegant affair as Uncle Scrooge invites you to his
three-course Christmas banquet starting on November 16. After dinner,
the Uncle Scrooge’s Christmas Banquet® cast will be singing
traditional Christmas songs such as; “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like
Christmas,” “Carol of the Bells,” “Mary, Did You Know,” “We Wish You a
Merry Christmas” and many other popular hits that will help bring the
Christmas season to life! A winter wonderland is created on the stage
of this magnificent boat that will leave you filled with the holiday
spirit.
