As usual, the Pepperdine Lectures were a delight. It was a time for renewing past friendships, making new friends, and drinking in the spiritual nourishment that comes from such events. The GCU exhibit was in the Howard White Center. There were dinners honoring outstanding Christians and many top-rate lectures. The keynote address this year was given by Dr. David Fleer from Rochester College. We are so proud of Dr. Fleer and the outstanding work he is doing. There was a luncheon on Friday for Rochester College. At this event President Westerfield introduced the campus minister, Sara Barton, who gave a meaningful presentation on the significance of Christian Education on the Rochester campus. Vice President Doug Edwards, Bergie Niemann and Gary Carson were also present. What an uplifting experience! I was blessed to have as my traveling companion this year Danny Dodd, the pulpit minister here at the Gateway Church in Pensacola where our office is now located.
It is always a special blessing at events such as this to visit and talk to friends from Abilene Christian University, Harding University, Oklahoma Christian University and other sister institutions. Friends, we are so blessed to be in this work of educating people from a Christian perspective!
