Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center’s A
Country Christmas® presented by Nissan® is back for its 23rd year,
Nov. 16, 2006-Jan. 2, 2007. Headlining this popular holiday tradition is
the return of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular(r) presented by
Allstate Insurance Company, starring the world-famous Radio City
Rockettes(tm). Newly redesigned and full of exciting displays, ICE!(tm)
presented by Coca-Cola(r) is back and better than ever! And no
Christmas season could be complete without some of the most beloved
events, including the second annual The Pam Tillis Christmas Dinner
Party(tm), two million lights, an outdoor nativity display and much
more.
Back by popular demand this year, the timeless tradition of the Radio
City Christmas Spectacular returns to Nashville where the Rockettes will
call the Grand Ole Opry(r) House home this holiday season, Nov. 16-Dec.
31. The “eye-high” kickers will feature a magical production with the
legendary “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers,” the awe-inspiring “Living
Nativity” and Nashville’s favorite new scene, the tap-infused “12 Days
of Christmas.” The spectacular event features dazzling lighting, scenery
and costumes, as well as a cast and crew of nearly 100 members,
including Santa himself. It is a must-see for your entire family this
holiday season.
“We look forward to A Country Christmas every year because of all the
special family events that surround it,” said Arthur Keith, senior vice
president and general manger of Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention
Center. “Gaylord Opryland strives to bring the best holiday
entertainment to Nashville, and with this year’s combination of shows,
exhibits and activities, this season is looking better than ever.”
One of the hottest events-and definitely the coldest-is ICE!, Nov. 16,
2006-Jan 2, 2007. A chilly, one-of-a-kind adventure through a frozen
world of larger-than-life ice sculptures all carved from 1.5 million
pounds of ice, has been updated with additional interactive displays
this year. This exciting winter wonderland offers many new, interactive
features that will bring fun to every visit. Enter into an incredible
candy house made of ice, walk through a life-sized igloo or take a
slippery ride down one of the gigantic ice slides. ICE! is a unique
experience for all ages that gives Christmas memories that last a
lifetime. The only place in the country to see this world-class display
is at a Gaylord Hotel.
“Every year, we get thousands of visitors to our ICE! exhibit, and
everyone is mesmerized by the frozen world they are able to walk
through,” Keith said. “All of our fun, new features just add to the
magical Christmas touch that Gaylord Opryland provides.”

Returning this year is The Pam Tillis Christmas Dinner Party(tm), Nov.
23-December 25. This traditional holiday dinner combines all of the
favorite culinary Christmas delights from the resort’s award-winning
culinary team with an intimate show featuring Grammy Award winner Pam
Tillis and her band.
Join her as the holiday season is celebrated with memorable Christmas
music but will also add some of her very popular top ten hits. The
magical tastes combined with this legendary performer is a show perfect
for all ages!
A Country Christmas wouldn’t be complete without the ever-popular
horse-drawn carriage rides that explore the grounds of Gaylord Opryland
and showcase the outdoor lights. The Outdoor Nativity Display,
Treasures for the Holidays crafts and gifts, lavishly decorated trees
and nearly two million lights are sure to get everyone in the Christmas
spirit. It’s everything Christmas all in one place.
“It’s the perfect place for families, friends and neighbors to get
together to share in the holiday spirit year after year,” Keith said.
“There truly is something for everyone, and it’s all right here at
Gaylord Opryland.”
Don’t miss the unique experiences of the 23rd annual A Country
Christmas.
