Reach Records has just announced in a press release they have dropped rapper Gawvi from their roster due to inappropriate behavior. According to Variety and other sources, Gawvi was dropped for allegedly sending unsolicited graphic nude photos to multiple women while he was still married.
Gawvi Dropped from Reach Records Statement:
“Due to behavior that is inconsistent with our core values, we have ended our professional relationship with GAWVI. This was a tough decision for us because of the level of complexity and because we invest in our artists not just for their talent, but also as brothers and sisters in Christ. This is something we have been processing for over a year and have wrestled with what would be the right way forward. New details that were provided made us realize today’s decision was necessary.”

Variety claims the Christian hip hop artist and producer has been dropped by his label and from the upcoming We Are UNASHAMED Tour because of a developing scandal involving his “allegedly sending unsolicited sexually explicit photos to women.”
Over the weekend, Gawvi posted on Instagram that his marriage to wife Brianna had ended in 2020. The post was deleted but was shared here.
Gawvi, who launched “The New Normal” Video Podcast in April last year, had been scheduled to be a part of the upcoming Reach Records We Are UNASHAMED tour. The tour is scheduled to go on without Gawvi with the label’s remaining artists: Lecrae, Andy Mineo, Trip Lee, Tedashii, 1K Phew, Wande, WHATUPRG and Hulvey.
Christian Activities joins with Reach Records in prayers for restoration to be the outcome of this sad story.
