Mission Strategy USA/Canada has released further information
about its upcoming “Gateway to the World” conference. The event, scheduled for October 26-28, 2000, in Olathe, Kansas, will focus on the United States and Canada as mission fields.
Denominational leaders met recently for a briefing on the
conference, described as “a convocation of pastors, laity,
students, and church leaders interested in exploring missional
strategies.”
More than 100 workshops distributed over 11 tracks will be
held on the campus of College Church of the Nazarene in Olathe.
David Hubbs, music pastor at College Church and music coordinator
for the conference, announced the participation of soloist
LaVonne Seetal, the combined choirs of Blue Hills Church of the
Nazarene and City Central Church of the Nazarene, both of Kansas
City, and a Portuguese choir from Rhode Island.
Shuttle service will be provided between Kansas City
International Airport and Olathe, and area hotels are holding
blocks of rooms for participants through September 25.
Reservations may be made online by going to www.nazarene.org and
following the “Gateway to the World” links.
Registration for the
conference will begin at 5 P.M. on Thursday, October 26, at the
