Freddie Colloca New Host of CBN’s One Cubed

One Voice Records Latin pop recording artist Freddie Colloca
(pronounced “ko-yo-ka”) has been named the new host of CBN International’s
Latin show One Cubed. Colloca recently taped 13 episodes at the CBN studios
in Virginia Beach, VA, hosting music videos from around the world for a
potential audience of more than 25 million in the Latin market.
For the past three years, Colloca has traveled throughout the U.S. and Latin
America, leading worship and performing, all the while developing his
electrifying combination of Latin dance and worship music. Colloca turned
many heads recently as he performed live at the 2001 Dove Awards, where he
received a Dove nomination for Spanish Language Album of the Year for Mas Que
Un Sentimento, the Spanish version of his English-language debut Dance El
Ritmo (Dance the Rhythm).
Since that project’s release in March 2001, Colloca has received significant
attention from the media. One of those who recognized Colloca’s unique
talent was the producer of CBN’s One Cubed.
“With the talent and charisma that comes along with him, Freddie is going to
be a top-notch addition to One Cubed,” says One Cubed producer Greg Flick.
“That type of energy, along with our set, will be a winning combination.”
One Cubed, which stands for One World, One Music, One Hope, launched in April
1999 and has already garnered a Telly Award, an Axiem Award and a
Videographer Award. The high-energy global music video program takes the
viewer on a virtual musical trip around the world in less than 30 minutes.
The vision of One Cubed is to harness the power of media to impact the youth
of the world to dynamically know Jesus and to live committed, principled and
radical lives. This vision fits well with the decision to add Colloca as
host of the show, since America’s Hispanic community is the fastest-growing
segment of the population. This demographic is projected to exceed 40
million by the end of this decade, and is on track to become the largest and
youngest minority in U.S. history.
Currently, 13 versions of One Cubed in 8 different languages are being
presented around the globe to a potential audience of over 300 million. The
initial success of One Cubed internationally has opened up an opportunity for
CBN to begin airing an English language version of the show in the United
States on the Fox Family Channel.
The Latin One Cubed program currently airs in Florida, Argentina, Colombia,
Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Uraguay and Puerto Rico.
