FFH’s Brian Smith at Summer Camp

FFH’s Brian Smith spent two weeks in August as youth director for a family camp in his hometown of Lancaster, Penn. Methodist churches in Lancaster County founded Rawlinsville Camp Meeting more than 115 years ago, 30 of which Smith has taken part. 2003 commemorates his eighth year in a leadership role at the camp, facilitating activities for 6th through 12th graders.
Without radio, television, or computers, the 275 campers in attendance found fellowship with Christian friends and with God. Smith comments, “We try to create an environment where teens feel welcome, where they know they’ll have fun and feel loved. But most of all, we concentrate on teaching them about Jesus and how to be in relationship with Him. This year we saw 18 students accept Jesus for the first time and numerous others recommit their lives to Christ.”
