Celebrated Essential Records group FFH
announces the formation of a special organization based on the idea of
creating community and discipleship among its listeners. The new FFH Home
Team will be used as an encouragement and support ministry for club members
nationwide, as well as for the members of FFH themselves.
Group member Jeromy Deibler says the group decided to launch the FFH Home
Team only after much prayerful consideration and the realization of what a
powerful ministry tool it could be. “We want to use this Home Team, not as
a way to glorify ourselves or our music, but as just one more way we can
work towards the goal we’ve always had as a group: to reach as many people
as we can for Jesus as quickly as possible.”
Fellow FFH member Brian Smith explains, “In concert, we concentrate on four
things: encouragement, edification, evangelism, and entertainment. Through
our Home Team, we hope to extend beyond those four things and get a little
more personal. Plus, FFH fans from all over can pray for each other and for
us as a group. We hope this will provide a larger base of support through
which we can extend our ministry to lead more people to Christ through our
fans.”
FFH Home Team members will receive a quarterly newsletter, artist
information, a membership card for discounted merchandise and preferred
seating at FFH concerts, exclusive contest opportunities, backstage passes,
exclusive music, a limited edition devotional CD and more. The newsletter
is designed with a ministry-oriented format, including prayer requests,
messages and devotions from the members of FFH, multimedia recommendations
on Christian books, CDs, and magazines, a fan question and answer section,
and a place for fan pictures, stories, and testimonies.
“We really want fans to be able to interact with one another and with us as
a group through the Home Team and newsletter. Whether it’s through fun
contests or more serious things like prayer requests and ministry reports,
our hope is that through the FFH Home Team we can come together with our
fans to further the cause of Christ and impact the communities around us,”
says Jeromy.
The first-ever FFH Home Team newsletter will include a contest for fans to
submit recordings of themselves or their families performing any FFH song.
Members of FFH will judge the tapes based on originality, musicality, and
presentation. The winning FFH Home Team member will receive two roundtrip
tickets to Orlando with an overnight hotel stay where they will spend time
with the group and attend a special live recording.
Named Christian Research Report’s Best New Artist of 1999, as well as named
one of the best artists of 1999 by Release Magazine, FFH recordings, its
current critically acclaimed album, Found A Place, and its breakthrough
national debut, I Want To Be Like You, have sold nearly half-a-million
copies. The group wrote and recorded a well-received Coca-Cola jingle,
garnered two No. 1 songs, One of These Days and I Want To Be Like You, and
has been honored with two prestigious Dove Award nominations from the Gospel
Music Association for “Best New Artist” and “Best Pop/Contemporary Song” for
One of These Days.
A concert favorite, the group is currently traversing the country on its
Found A Place tour. For the tour itinerary and more information on FFH, or
