February Artist Updates

2/27/01 Matt Brouwer is currently out on the road promoting his brand new
singles and upcoming record. Matt will make a notable show at radio by
releasing 3 different songs to 3 different formats.
In addition to their Juno Award nomination (the Canadian version of
the Grammy’s), Jake has been nominated for 2 Canadian Radio Music Awards in
the categories of Pop/Adult Best New Group and Top 40 Best New Group. The
awards will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2001 at the Westin Harbour Castle
Convention Centre. The CRMA’s recognize excellence and outstanding
achievement for New Canadian Artists on radio. The nominees are selected
based upon radio airplay and will be voted on by radio personalities.

2/07/01Chris Rice is scheduled to release The Living Room Sessions, a collection of classic piano hymns recorded in Chris’ own living room! Songs include: “All Creatures of Our God And King,” “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” “How Great Thou Art” and more. Chris says that while you might hear the piano bench creak every now and then and a few notes might not belong, he decided to “leave the humanness in, like I found it in my church growing up.” The album is set to release on April 17th.
2/05/01 The World Wide Message Tribe has changed members and changed its name to The Tribe. Deronda Lewis, Claire Prosser, and Colette Smethurst have left to pursue other ministries. South Africans George Mhondera and Quintin Delport have joined the troupe. The British dance-music group is still committed to evangelizing English schools.
