Ernie Haase & Signature Sound Score Seven 2011 Dove Nominations



Nominations for the 42nd Annual GMA Dove Award nomination were announced February 16, 2011, at a press conference from the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA. Ernie Haase & Signature Sound scored a total of seven nominations, including prestigious Group of the Year and Artist of the Year. Additionally, “I Thirst” received a nomination for Southern Gospel Recorded Song of the Year, Doug Anderson received a Male Vocalist of the Year nomination and Wayne Haun is nominated for Producer of the Year. Rounding out the nominations were nods for Southern Gospel Album of the Year for A Tribute to the Cathedral Quartet, and Long Form Music Video of the Year for A Tribute to the Cathedral Quartet.
Ernie Haase says: “When I heard the news I immediately thought of George Younce and Glen Payne and how happy they would be to know their music has outlived their lives.” Ernie continues, “We’re honored to be nominated alongside our friends and peers. We are so blessed!”
Their highly-acclaimed latest release A Tribute to the Cathedral Quartet debuted at #1 on the Billboard Music Video Chart and #1 on the Southern Gospel Music chart as well as #3 on the Contemporary Christian Music chart and features the #1 song “I Thirst.”

The 42nd Annual GMA Dove Awards will be held at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Ga. on Wednesday, April 20th. The awards show will be televised on GMC at 8:00p.m. ET/delayed PT on Easter Sunday, April 24th. GMC can be seen in 47 million homes on various cable systems around the country, on DIRECTV on channel 338 and on Verizon FiOS on channel 224.
