Inpop Records has announced the signing of acclaimed female vocalist Erin O’ Donnell. Her first project for the label which hits store shelves on October 21, is being produced by Alain Mallet (Jonatha Brooke) and Mark Hammond (Nichole Nordeman, Cindy Morgan, Jump 5) and will feature songs written by O’Donnell along with Cindy Morgan and Pete Kipley.
Inpop Records’ general manager Steve Ford stated, “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Erin in the past, and am very excited about having her as a part of the Inpop family. Erin is respected not only as an amazing vocalist and artist, but also as a person whose passion for her faith guides her life. The response to her signing has been overwhelming, and I’m looking forward to the release of her new project in October.”
Erin O’Donnell’s first three releases, including A Scrapbook of Sorts, Scratching the Surface and 2000’s No Place So Far, have yielded ten Top 10 songs, including two Top 5 hits with “No Place So Far” and “Hold On To Jesus.” O’Donnell’s success at radio includes #1 songs such as “Be Still and Know,” which was voted one of 1996’s “Top 50 Christian Songs of the Year,” and “No Better Place,” which ranked as the #2 “AC Song of the Year” on the 1996 year-end radio charts. In addition to her radio success, Erin has performed on numerous national television shows and has headlined major concert tours including her 1998 “Scratching the Surface” Tour.
“My relationship with Inpop as a label is new, but I’ve had the opportunity to work with several members of their team in the past, so in a sense it really feels like home to me,” said O’Donnell. “I know that we share a common passion for great music that conveys a passionate faith, and I couldn’t be more excited for people to hear the new record.”
