Eastside Church of God Hosts Missions Education Classes

Eastside Church of God in Anderson, IN will host Perspectives On Missions, a missions education program in conjunction with the U. S. Center for World Missions, Tuesday evenings, 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., from September 7 to December 14, 2004. Eastside Church of God is located at 2600 E. Fifth Street, Anderson, IN.
Perspectives on the World Christian Movement is a dynamic course that allows each person in the classes to discover more of what God is doing around the world and consider each individual person’s role in His purposes. Perspectives will explore the following topics: Biblical (God’s unchanging purpose for the nations), Historical (Expansion and pioneers of the Christian Movement), Strategic (What are “unreached people groups” and why are they so important to complete God’s eternal purpose?), and Cultural (The Gospel and cross-cultural communication).
“We are anticipating a wonderful gathering of pastors and laity for this Central Indiana Perspectives program,” said David Neidert, director of the Center for Christian Leadership. “We believe God is using the study program for inviting his followers to join in learning about the cross-cultural implications of sharing the message of the kingdom.
Neidert goes on to say that “previous participants have been changed forever in how they view missions. We believe the same will happen in this Perspectives offering to those that attend.”
Undergraduate and graduate credit is available through schools such as Trinity International University and other cooperating institutions. Perspectives are also offered online and by correspondence. In addition, over 100 schools use the Perspectives Reader in their mission’s courses (over 120,000 in print).
