Downhere Takes Juno Award for Best Gospel Album

Word Recording artist, Downhere, captured the coveted Juno Award for “Best Gospel Album” from the Canadian Recording Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences for their self-titled debut release. The annual Juno Awards, the Canadian equivalent of the GRAMMYs, were broadcast from St. Johns, Newfoundland in mid-April and recognized a diverse group of Canadian musical artists, including Diana Krall, Nickelback and Jann Arden. The show was hosted by last year’s triple Juno Award winners, The Barenaked Ladies.
Downhere has released two radio singles “Larger Than Life” and “Great Are You” with much success in radio. Their third radio single “Free Me Up” is also receiving excellent reviews from fans and the industry as well.. . “Free Me Up” is on Downhere’s Juno award winning self titled Cd “Downhere”
Canada is proud of Downhere as well as all artists nominated in the Best Gospel Album category, Londa Larmond, Carolyn Arends, Steve Bell, Matt Brouwer.
