This week has been an exciting week in Nashville as the 41st Annual Dove Awards took place last night, and other events have been taking place around town all week in conjunction with gospel music’s biggest week. Although there was no official GMA Week this year, there were a host of activities for gospel music lovers scheduled all over Nashville. During the day interviews took place around town and at night showcases and dinners celebrated the talents of the Christian musicians and songwriters in Nashville for the Dove Awards.
The week kicked into high gear with the BMI Music Awards Dinner on Tuesday night which honored those artists and songwriters on the BMI roster who had the most success in 2009. While the BMI gala was taking place on Music Row, a few blocks away the “Dog and Pony Show” was taking place at the historic Berger Building in downtown Nashville.
The week culminated in the 41st Annual Dove Awards at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. Read the highlights and the winners list
