Dottie Rambo Dies In 2008 Bus Crash

5/11/08 Legendary Dottie Rambo, who performed gospel music for more than 50 years, died early this morning when her tour bus ran off a road in southwest Missouri and struck an embankment. Rambo was on her way to a Mother's Day performance in North Richland Hills, Texas. She was 74.

The incident was reportedly weather related.

Visitation will be held at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN on Saturday, May 17, from4-8 PM, and Sunday, May 18 from 2-4 PM.

On Monday, May 19, at 1:00 PM, there will be a Dottie Rambo home-going celebration service at Christ Church, 15354 Old Hickory Blvd. in Nashville.

Visitations and memorial services are open to the public.
