Bill Simmons, president of Bible Factory Outlet, announced this past weekend1s Grand Opening of its newest location at 6311 US Hwy. 431 South in Albertville, AL. The announcement follows the recent move of Bible Factory Outlet1s corporate headquarters and warehouse to a 52,000 square-foot facility the company acquired in August. The 4500 sq. ft. store, adjoined to BFO1s offices,
opened under the name “Discount Bibles & More”, a new freestanding concept for the 39 store chain.
“The opening of Discount Bibles & More enables us to accomplish several purposes and missions that will yield an incredible impact for our company,” said Simmons. “Having a Œflagship store1 literally next door to our corporate office, affords us the means of immediate testing for our product mix and marketing initiatives, as well as giving us a practical facility to train new management in our company. This is also our first “non-mall” location and may be a building block for future growth in markets similar to Albertville.”
On October 4th, the day before the store1s opening date, Discount Bibles & More store employees and Bible Factory Outlet corporate staff hosted an open house and pre-opening reception for 500 Marshall County business and media professionals. Earlier in the day, Albertville Chamber of Commerce representatives and Albertville Mayor Larry Hillsman celebrated the pre-opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Grand Opening events held on October 5th included free outdoor games for the children; a live radio remote broadcast with WQSB/WAVU; an in-store performance and album signing with Daywind recording group, Brian Free & Assurance; Grand Prize drawings for a Bahamas Vacation for two, an Epiphone Acoustic Guitar autographed by Randy Travis; and Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie theatre tickets (compliments of Rainbow Cinemas – Gadsden). There were also free CDs and Videos with any purchase. Discount Bibles & More enhanced their everyday low discount prices by offering a Grand Opening “Storewide Buy 4, Get 1 Free” sale, which continues through Friday, October 11th.
