Davis-Kidd Welcomes Jim Clark and Ken Beck

Nashville’s Ken Beck and Jim Clark will discuss and sign Act Like Somebody (Rutledge
Hill Press, $9.99), I’m Proud to Call You My Friend (RH Press, $9.99), and The Encyclopedia of TV Pets (RH Press, $19.99) at Davis-Kidd Booksellers, Tuesday, June
18th at 6:00 p.m.
Act Like Somebody and I’m Proud to Call You My Friend are collections of special
moments of parenting and friendship from The Andy Griffith Show. These books are
packed with photographs and quotes from the show.
The Encyclopedia of TV Pets is an entertaining and comprehensive journey into the lives
of the world’s most famous furry television stars. All creatures great and small, from kangaroos, sea lions, chimpanzees, and horses to elephants, dogs, lions, cats and bears are here and pictured in over 200 photographs. It is an amazing menagerie of facts and tales, many never before told in print.
Ken Beck is an editor for the Tennessean and a freelance writer. Jim Clark is also a freelance writer in Nashville. Together they have written Aunt Bee’s Mayberry Cookbook, The All-American Cookbook, Mary Ann’s Gilligan’s Island Cookbook, Aunt Bee’s Delightful Desserts, Aunt Bee’s Mealtime in Mayberry and Mayberry Memories as well as the two books mentioned above.
The event is free and open to the public. Davis-Kidd is located at 4007 Hillsboro Road in
Nashville.
