Covenant Love Church recently opened its doors in Franklin, Tennessee. Birthed by the vision of Pastor Leonard Adams, the non-denominational church seeks to provide “spiritual and emotional wholeness for ourselves and others,” says Adams.
“Because everyone needs love…that’s why this church exists,” Adams states. “Many today are lonely and desperate for love. Covenant Love Church is a place where people can be real and can become who God has created them to be without fear of judgment or rejection.”
The mission of Covenant Love Church is to demonstrate the love of God through unconditional relationships with others. “Our desire is to meet both spiritual and emotional needs of individuals. Spiritual wholeness is accomplished in an instant – the moment we accept Jesus as our Lord ad Savior. Emotional wholeness often takes nearly a lifetime. All those who are saved have heaven to look forward to, but day-to-day living is often filled with emotional baggage. We are a church that looks forward to the sweet-by-and-by while we face the real issues of the here-and-now.”
The son of a pastor, Adams preached his first sermon at eight years of age. Since then, he has had the opportunity to minister worldwide in countries such as Egypt, Australia and New Zealand, as well as numerous ministry opportunities throughout the United States. While on staff at Word of Life Christian Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, Adams served as music director and Bible college instructor for approximately eight years to the 6,000 member church. Adams and his family moved to Nashville in March 2000 and served as the Assistant/Associate Pastor of a local church while preparing to launch the exciting, vibrant ministry of Covenant Love Church.
“Love makes us qualify to be who we need to be for you,” says Adams. “At Covenant Love Church it doesn’t matter what negative things others may have made you believe about yourself…we will give you love…because you are valuable.”
