Award-winning Christian artist Colton Dixon is premieres the official music video for his heartfelt single “In Spite of Me” on YouTube on March 13, building on a remarkable career high as he gears up for his spring headlining tour.
The song, which began as an open-letter apology to those hurt by imperfect churchgoers, evolved into Dixon’s personal prayer for grace in his closest relationships. “None of us are perfect, including myself,” Dixon shares. “My hope is that my wife, kids, friends, and everyone I encounter finds Jesus even in spite of my shortcomings.”
Filmed in the beautiful church where he and his wife exchanged vows, the video holds special meaning as a reminder of commitment to Christ amid human flaws. “I pray viewers are reminded that our words and actions impact those around us,” he adds. “Be the best example of Jesus possible—God often uses broken people like us to draw others closer to Him.”
The release comes on the heels of Dixon’s February CCM Magazine cover feature spotlighting his creative growth and enduring influence in Christian music.
