On February 23, 2023, a united, multi-generational day of prayer will take place for revival and awakening on college campuses in America. Hosted at Asbury University in Wilmore, KY, the Collegiate Day of Prayer Simulcast signals the conclusion of the Asbury outpouring as well as the opening weekend for the Jesus Revolution movie.
Thursday, February 23, will mark the end of this historic multi-week gathering at Asbury University and Asbury Theological Seminary with the National Collegiate Day of Prayer broadcast hosted on our campus.
I find it fitting that what started with college students on our campus is ending with college students joined in prayer and worship across the country.

What Is Collegiate Day of Prayer?
Biblically and historically, united prayer has brought about great change. According to the Collegiate Day of Prayer website, precisely 200 years ago in 1823, almost every major denomination and university in the United States united in prayer for our nation’s college students. Historically, these campuses were spiritually transformed by seasons of revival like we have seen at Asbury University recently.
Today, churches and campuses across America are once again uniting in prayer for the next generation on our nation’s college campuses. This annual day of prayer is known as Collegiate Day of Prayer.
When Is the Collegiate Day of Prayer?
Each year, the last Thursday of February is set aside as the national Collegiate Day of Prayer.

For the first time in its history, ALL of the 4196 college campuses have been adopted. No campuses remain unadopted. 4211 campus ministries, churches, and individuals are signed up to pray for colleges as of the last tally.
