Cinco De Mayo Spotlight on Julissa

After having countless successes with her productions “Regresará por mí”, “En las alas
del amor” and “Admisión general”, Julissa, the vibrant Puerto Rican singer, continues her climbing successful
artistic career, and on May 15, 2003 will participate on the National Day of Prayer where President George W.
Bush will be the special guest.
“For me, it is a privilege to have the opportunity to sing on this important event, and along with other
ministries, pray with the President for this nation. We’re living a historic and very important moment
in this country. It is our responsibility as Christians to ask God for His guidance and wisdom for
making the right decisions. For me, it is a great honor to represent Jesus in an event like this.”
Julissa’s activities, as well as all other Hispanic singers and leaders, will begin early morning of
May 15 where they will have a private meeting with the President of the United States. In the evening,
in the Presidential Ballroom of the Capital Hilton Hotel, Julissa will delight the public with her
diverse repertoire in a night of celebration.
Julissa, who recently returned from Russia after filming the music videos for “El Amor” and “Amarte más”, is
preparing to launch her new album, “Corazón Latino” that will be available this coming May.
With Corazón Latino Julissa wraps herself in the rhythm and compass of trumpets and percussions in an acoustic
album that emphasizes a new sound. The lyrics show the fusion of two cultures: American and Latin, where the pop,
salsa, vallenato, Trio music and a combination of all these with contemporary instruments are highlighted.
