When Heaven Came Down
The Glory of Heaven: a newborn Son,
Wrapped in swaddling clothes.
The Father’s only begotten One
Reclining as shepherds rose.
“Be not afraid, for wonderful things
are given for all the people.
“A Savior is born!” the angel sings,
Shout it from every steeple”
Suddenly came the heavenly host,
With praise that raised the hills.
A kingdom throng has come to boast,
of a child, a God and a Will.
A host of heaven descended to sing
As night succumbed to the Light.
Man and angels worshipped their King
When heaven came down that night.

Psalms 9: 1,2 “I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonders. I will sing and rejoice in you;
I will sing praise to yout name, O Most High.” NIV
The Real Meaning of Christmas
The real meaning of Christmas —
Not tinel, lights and toys,
But the message through the ages,
We learned as girls and boys.
How God in His infinite wisdom,
Left his home above
To dwell amongst us here on Earth,
Marvelous, perfect love.
Such love compels us
To heed our Saviour’s call,
To tell the good news
To all the world, the truth,
God’s love for all.

A Shepherd’s Testament
“I beheld the Lord that night,
When an angel came in radiant light!
Bound by fear, till His words brought release.
The angel proclaimed: “Your Prince of Peace!”
I learned how to worship, I learned how to praise!
I learned how to reverence God in new ways.
Ive seen heaven’s glory, and heard voices ringing.
Never again shall I bring feeble singing!
He is worth of honor, lets worship in truth!
Be sincere in your offerings, zealous as youths.
Rekindle the flame, ignite reverent fires!
Of true spirit worshippers, He never tires.
I learned how to praise that night on a hill
When heaven came down and a star stood still.
He found me a shepherd, tending my sheep.
He left me a worshipper, there at His feet.
By Tom Valles
Luke 2: 8-12 “And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” NIV
