December 19 might have been a dreary, rainy day outside in Nashville, but inside hearts were merry as Agape Inc. hosted their annual party for the children cared for by their children’s services. The toy drive sponsored by ChristianActivities.Com, the Belle Meade Plantation Belles Barbie Doll Club and KB Toys Bellevue Center found Christian Activities publisher Kathryn Darden looking a little bit like the famous jolly old elf himself as she carried four large bags packed full of toys into the Agape Inc. offices.
Near the brightly decorated Christmas tree in the Agape building, Agape social worker Christi Akers helped Darden unpack the bags to reveal more than 15 Barbie dolls, games including Candy land and Spiderman, purses, Matchbook cars, beanie babies, books, balls and many more toys sure to
delight any child. The annual toy drive is fast becoming a Nashville tradition.
