Steven Curtis Chapman: Sparrow Records’ artist and five-time GRAMMY©
Award winner Steven Curtis Chapman recently returned to the United
States after a groundbreaking international tour where he performed
for more than 60,000 including six sold-out dates in Australia, New
Zealand, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore, with crowd
numbers exceeding capacity at the Singapore Rock Auditorium. Along
with the multi-country tour, Chapman performed five concerts for U.S.
troops based in South Korea. This historic performance was the first
Christian concert for the troops based there.
Jessie Daniels: Midas recording artist Jessie Daniels visited with
soldiers from the BOSS program at 1st CAV Museum in Fort Hood, Texas,
last month. Daniels performed an hour-long concert in 100-degree heat
for troops at Ft. Hood and signed her new CD, “Jessie Daniels,”
following the event.
Stellar Kart: The wait is finally over as Stellar Kart’s sophomore
release, “We Can’t Stand Sitting Down,” as it just hit stores. What a
great and memorable title! Featuring songs such as “Activate,” “Hold
On,” and “Me and Jesus,” the project was produced by Ian Eskelin (All
Star United) and is a strong, creative project that never loses the
energetic pop-punk that their fans love.
Niyoki: Casual observers and many industry insiders might consider
touring with Academy and Grammy Award-winner and Rock and Roll Hall
of Fame inductee Prince to be the pinnacle of achievement. But for
world-class vocal stylist Niyoki, true success means being in the
center of God’s will. Although grateful for the success she enjoyed
in the general market, Niyoki felt drawn back to her Christian roots
and began work on a solo project with which she could share a message
of hope and praise. The result is “My Everything,” a project
releasing August 29th, on D2G Records, showcasing Niyoki’s amazing
talent and depth of experience.
Red: Modern rock band Red (Essential Records) has announced its tour
plans for late summer / early fall 2006. During the month of August,
Red will be hitting the road on the “Accelerate” tour with Decyfer
Down and Nevertheless. The tour kicks off Sunday, Aug. 6, in
Sacramento, Calif., and will include 14 stops between California,
Arizona, Nevada, Montana, Idaho and Oregon. Beginning Sept. 2, Red
joins Disciple on the “Still Rising” tour for a 12 date run featuring
shows in the same region of the U.S. as the “Accelerate” tour. From
October 25 through November 19, Red will join Kutless on the “Hearts
of the Innocent” tour, making stops all the way from Alabama to
Minnesota and east to New Hampshire. After more than 80 concerts to
date in 2006, Red is staying busy, already booked well into the month
of December. On December 1, 2006, Red will be in Gevelsburg, Germany
to perform as part of the Haus Ennepetal-Christmas Rock Night.
Devin Garza: He’s an OB-GYN doctor from Texas who decided to make a
CD, called “Rescue Me,” after a dramatic encounter with God while
driving in a rainstorm in Hawaii in 2004. The songs on “Rescue Me”
are, according to Garza, written in prayer and as prayers. For more

Curt Collins: Curt Collins is currently on a radio tour supporting
his new single “Waiting On You.” Curt’s upcoming CD, due in November
2007, is being produced by Curb Records’ artist Jamie Slocum. The

Sanctus Real: Sanctus Real’s No. 1 radio hit, “I’m Not Alright,” from
its best-selling album, “The Face of Love,” has now become the newest
mtvU “Freshman” video and first MTV-rotated video for the band!

Men Of Standard: Integrity Gospel announces the Christian retail
release of “Surrounded,” the latest project from Sony Gospel group
Men of Standard. This marks the fifth full-length album for the
Stellar Award-winning trio composed of Isaac Carree, Lowell Pye and
Bryan Pierce. “Surrounded,” produced by Warryn Campbell (Mary Mary),
includes guest appearances by Tye Tribbett, Kirk Franklin and rapper
Heavy D. The project contains 10 songs, seven of which were penned by
Campbell. The album combines Men of Standard’s contemporary Gospel
and R&B style with a hip-hop edge while making room for a handful of
beautiful ballads.

Stephen Hurd: Stephen Hurd just wrapped the mastering of his new
album, “My Destiny,” with producer Steven Ford. The project is due in
stores October 3rd. Stephen recorded “My Destiny” at his home church,
First Baptist of Glenarden, located near Washington, D.C. The album
contains an amazing 20 tracks, with most of the songs written by
Stephen. Stephen serves on staff at First Baptist and will assume the
role of Minister of Music later next month.
One Foot In Heaven: The pop-rock band One Foot In Heaven covers Los
Lonely Boys’ hit song, “Heaven,” on their live CD, “Live at the Riv.”
Well, One Foot In Heaven recently opened for The Afters in front of
1,200 fans at Dunn Tire Park in Buffalo, New York, and they also
opened for another Christian band, Edison Glass, this July, at

St. James.
Nathan Salter: Gospel recording artist Nathan Salter recorded his
live CD/DVD in downtown Buffalo, New York, at Greater Refuge Temple
this June, and it was an amazing night. The recording,
entitled “Breakthrough In His Presence,” is mostly instrumental, with
several different instruments featured, including drums and the harp.
