Christian Artists Record Songs, Plan Benefit Concerts in Nashville for Haiti



The gospel music industry is rallying to support the earthquake victims in Haiti as artists like Michael W. Smith, Nicole C. Mullen, Plumb, Tommy Sims, Breith, Kirk Franklin, Marvin Sapp, Natalie Grant, Anthony Evans, Jr., Mary Mary Jaci Velasquez, JoDee Messina, Legacy Five, TobyMac, Wynonna, and more are recording songs or planning concerts for Haiti. Three days after the devastating earthquake hit Haiti, Michael W. Smith had a melody and lyrics running through his head. Today he recorded a song for Haiti with over 40 friends from the gospel music community, including Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Steven Curtis Chapman, Brandon Heath, Natalie Grant, Katinas and Wynonna Judd. The People’s Church in Franklin, TN is the site of yet another exciting benefit concert for Haiti, the Haiti Relief Benefit Concert hosted by Brent Gambrell Ministries on Thursday January 28 at 7 p.m. with Jaci Velasquez, JoDee Messina, Legacy Five and more. Reith, Cindy Morgan and Bernard Harris will perform at a benefit concert to raise money for Haiti disaster relief on Friday night at The Factory at Franklin.
