Cheekwood Dog Nights of Summer 2026: A Festive Evening with Pups, Music & Gardens in Nashville

Cheekwood Estate & Gardens in Nashville closed out its Dog Nights of Summer 2026 series on Thursday, August 27, with a lively dog-friendly evening of music, food trucks, and garden strolls. Held every Thursday in August as part of Thursday Night Out, the final night featured a performance by Satin Dollz and drew members and guests ready to enjoy the grounds with their pups. Because of the intense heat, we went after dark for the first time which was a novel and enjoyable experience.

The night was warm and balmy under a full moon as dogs walked up and down the main drive where pet vendors and food trucks lined the way. Music drifted across the gardens while water stations and doggy cleanup bags stood ready for visitors. Dogs seemed to enjoy the freedom to walk, meet other pups, and take in the sights, sounds, and smells of the evening.

Satin Dollz, a vocal-and-tap-dance ensemble known for tight harmonies, lively choreography, and vintage 1940s–’50s glamour, provided the live entertainment. Guests could also explore the America the Beautiful: National Parks & Landmarks by Rail trains installation and browse local vendors offering treats and apparel for dogs. All pets were required to remain on leash, and the series was sponsored by Veterinary Emergency Group.

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) was the sponsor of Cheekwood’s Dog Nights of Summer 2026.
