Grammy Award and Dove Award-winning recording artist Charlie Daniels is slated for multiple national television appearances in April, including CMT’s “INSIDE FAME,” “The 700 Club,” “Best of Austin City Limits” and “At Home– Live!”
Daniels will be the subject of CMT’s hit biography series, “INSIDE FAME,” beginning Saturday, April 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. According to CMT, Daniels discusses his career milestones, his love for America and devotion to his fans, as well as his strong personal convictions and unwillingness to compromise in his music.
CMT’s “INSIDE FAME” series has recently featured retrospective looks at the careers of Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Jr., and the late Waylon Jennings, among others. Following its April 6 debut, Daniels’ episode will re-air that night at 12 a.m. ET/PT, and again on April 7 at 7 p.m. ET/PT; April 10 at 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. ET/PT; and April 13 at 2 p.m. ET/PT.
In addition, Daniels will be featured on the Thursday, April 11 broadcast of “The 700 Club.” The program will air at 10 a.m., 11 p.m., and 2 a.m. ET on the ABC Family channel, and also at 3 p.m. ET or noon PT on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN).
The Charlie Daniels Band will be spotlighted on CMT’s “Best of Austin City Limits” on Friday, April 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Hosted by country recording artist Charlie Robison, “Best of Austin City Limits” captures highlights from the past 27 years of the critically acclaimed PBS original program.
Daniels is also scheduled to appear on FamilyNet’s “At Home– Live!” on Friday, April 5 at 10 a.m. CT. He is slated to perform “Softly and Tenderly” and “How Great Thou Art” from his latest Sparrow recording, How Sweet The Sound: 25 Favorite Hymns and Gospel Greats. “At Home– Live!” reaches more than 40 million homes through FamilyNet, in addition to viewers by satellite via Sky Angel and digital cable.

In addition to the upcoming television appearances, the Charlie Daniels Band recently returned from Cuba, where they performed for U.S. troops stationed at Guantanamo Bay. The USO and Armed Forces Entertainment, along with USO World Partners AT&T, BAE SYSTEMS, Coca-Cola, The Walt Disney Company, ESPN, USAA Foundation, VFW and Wal-Mart, partnered to make the tour possible.
Discussing his recent trip to Guantanamo Bay, Daniels was a featured guest on the April 2 broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “Hannity & Colmes.” In addition, Daniels will talk about the experience on the April 16 broadcast of “Janet Parshall’s America,” heard via the Salem Radio Network.
How Sweet The Sound: 25 Favorite Hymns and Gospel Greats released in January and is Daniels’ third Sparrow recording. Daniels’ first Sparrow recording, The Door, released in 1994, followed by Steel Witness in 1996. With three triple platinum, four platinum and three gold records to his credit, Daniels has received five Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, two Grammy Awards and two Dove Awards, and has released 39 recordings since 1971.
