Cedar Springs Christian Store Opens in Nashville

Cedar Springs Christian Store celebrated their
Nashville Grand Opening this week with a Christian
Music Extravaganza on November 7th. The event
featured musical performances by Tait, Paul Colman
Trio, Jeff Deyo, and Riley Armstrong, among others.
Flicker Records artist, Riley Armstrong hosted the
night’s event. He opened the show with his fun song
“Sleep”. He described his music as “folk music meets
The Muppet Show”. Jeff Deyo came out for a three song
acoustic worship set, which included “Let It Flow” and
“All I Want”. Jeff spoke about the passion that God
gave him for worship music and the challenge to come
up with new songs for the album, SATURATE(Gotee
Records). Later, the amazing Paul Colman Trio gave
great acoustic performances from the album, NEW MAP OF
THE WORLD(Essential Records). Lead singer, guitarist,
Paul Colman started their set by rounding up the large
group of artists and musicians that had gathered
behind the wall near the stage. He then called
Michael Tait to the stage. Michael joked about being
sick of Paul after being on the road together. He
then gave him a kiss on the cheek. The band went on
to give very tight performances of the songs, “Run”,
“The Killing Tree” and the big hit, “Turn”.
Later, Tait took the stage and performed the radio
hits, “Loss For Words” and “All You Got”. DC Talk
fans were also treated to “In The Light”. The band
was asked to do one more song to end their set.
Michael asked the audience for a request from the
album EMPTY(Forefront Records). The overwhelming
majority asked for “Spy”. After some coaxing, the
band gave their first-ever, semi-acoustic performance
of the song, which ended with the chorus to “Jesus
Freak”, which brought the house down!
Out Of Eden was not scheduled to perform, but came out
and sang an a capella version of “His Eye Is On The
Sparrow”. After the music, many of the artists stuck
around to meet people and sign posters.
