Bob Carlisle Releases Greatest Hits

Diadem Music artist Bob Carlisle celebrates
a solo career that spans nearly a decade with today’s release of Butterfly
Kisses & Other Stories.
Butterfly Kisses & Other Stories combines nine of Carlisle’s greatest hits,
including the No. 1 crossover hit “Butterfly Kisses,” longtime fan favorite
“Mighty Love” and 2000 Dove Award winner for Inspirational Recorded Song of
the Year, “I Will Follow Christ,” which features Carlisle with Clay Crosse
and BeBe Winans.
Carlisle is most excited about the three new cuts on this project, which
include “Abba Father” and “You’re Beautiful,” penned by Carlisle, as well as
“My Testimony,” written by Sam Mizell and Steve Siler. Each of the three
new cuts was produced by Carlisle, who also took the helm on his previous
Diadem releases, Butterfly Kisses (Shades of Grace) and Stories From the
The first radio single, “You’re Beautiful” is written about a father and
daughter in an entirely different situation than “Butterfly Kisses.” This
story song is set in a hospital where a young, frightened father first
encounters his baby girl who was born with a handicap. Yet much like
“Butterfly Kisses,” the song is striking a nerve in listeners everywhere,
gaining mainstream radio airplay across the country.
Steve Shannon and DC Chymes of “Steve & DC Morning Radio,” originating from
KHITS 96 FM in St. Louis, state, “As we listen to the first verse of this
song, we get the same feeling that we had the first time we heard ‘Butterfly
Kisses’-a lump in the throat. It’s an amazing story that unfolds in this
song. The biggest day for a dad has to be that first day that you have your
first child. But what if it wasn’t as perfect as you had imagined it to be?
Every time we play this song the phone lines jam. ‘You’re Beautiful’ is
destined to be hit.”
Recently serviced to Christian radio, “You’re Beautiful” went for adds on
Friday, May 17, and already is receiving positive feedback from stations
across the country. Kurt Wallace of 92.7 The Bridge in Baton Rouge, La.,
remarks, “Not many songs move you to tears, but ‘You’re Beautiful’ moves you
as only a Bob Carlisle song could. It’s a ‘beautiful’ reminder of how God
sees us.” Tim Marx from KAEZ 105.7 in Amarillo, Texas, notes, “Bob
Carlisle’s new song ‘Your Beautiful’ is a great reminder that no matter how
many times I fall or how hard I try, there’s a God in heaven that loves me
in MY imperfection! This song is an ‘out of the park’ home run for us.”
Diadem Music is also focused on a multi-media push that will center on
Father’s Day. Two syndicated radio programs “Soul2Soul” and “On Track” will
produce Bob Carlisle radio specials due to air on Father’s Day weekend. On
the retail side, the first 16,000 consumers will receive an added bonus, as
a special, new free DVD premium will be packaged with copies of Butterfly
Kisses & Other Stories. Featuring exclusive interviews and music videos of
some of Carlisle’s top songs, the DVD will be shrink-wrapped with the CD.
A founding member of influential Christian rock band Allies (releasing its
first album in 1985) prior to beginning his solo career in 1993, Bob
Carlisle rose to prominence in 1997 with the touching ballad he wrote for
his daughter, “Butterfly Kisses.” The song ultimately drove the album of
the same name to No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 album sales charts and
resulted in double-platinum certification for the album by the RIAA.

Carlisle, a devoted family man with two children, has long been known
revealing his personal joys and trials through his songwriting. Family
continues to be a popular theme in his music, as does the imperfection of
man and the amazing grace and love of God. Carlisle and his wife, Jacque,
reside in Las Vegas, where he launched a new music company with offices and
recording studios in Las Vegas and Franklin, Tenn.
