Catch the spirit of Christmas and its many tales, epics and melodies
when Bluefield College presents “The Many Faces of Christmas,” a musical
drama featuring the favorite stories, songs and poems of the season,
Thursday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Harman Chapel.
Bluefield College Theatre will kick of its holiday festivities with this
fast-paced romp through the music and stories of the Christmas season. The
nearly hour-long musical drama will feature such favorite stories as “A
Visit from St. Nicholas,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and “A Christmas
Carol” and will highlight traditional songs like “White Christmas” and
“Rudolph the Red
Nosed Reindeer.”
In addition to the presentation of the season1s most favorite songs,
stories and poems, “The Many Faces of Christmas” will also offer a dramatic
delivery of information about the people behind those favorites — the
poets, authors and songwriters who created them.
Starring in the Christmas production will be Bluefield College
instructors of theatre arts Charles and Rebecca McCoy Reese, along with a
number of BC students, including Sarah McCloud, Jed Lockett, Travis Lowe,
Laycie Smith, Maggie Wickstrum, Emily McLaughlin, Chris Ake, Mark Hipes and
Nick Quesenberry.
The BC musical drama is open and free to the public. For more
