BEC Recordings is proud to announce the signing of world class pop/rock artist Bleach to its roster. The band is currently in the studio co-producing their fourth studio release, debut BEC release, with Oran Thornton (Flick). The as-yet-untitled project is slated to release in August 2002.
“Bleach is a band that we’ve been following for years,” says BEC president, Brandon Ebel. “These guys have proven themselves as a band that can not only write great rock songs, but deliver them live. More importantly, Bleach is a band with an outstanding reputation—with youth pastors, industry folks, other bands, and fans. Everybody loves them. We’re thrilled to have them in the BEC family.”
“We’ve always tried to push ourselves,” explains Bleach guitarist and co-founder, Sam Barnhart, “in our songwriting, performance, and in our ministry. We’ve been blessed with the opportunity to perform for Christian and non-Christian kids in both Church and club settings. BEC has captured our vision to take Bleach’s music and ministry to the kids who need it most, whether that be inside or outside of typical Christian music industry circles. We’re excited about this new partnership and can’t wait to introduce everyone to the new songs.”
“Bleach has been a band for over six years,” adds Dave Baysinger, Bleach vocalist and band co-founder. “In that time, God has shown us a lot about our ministry and ourselves. He’s been moving in some crazy ways lately and we’re excited to see how He’ll use this new album.”
Bleach has already released three full-length albums (for Forefront Records) that have sold over 150,000 copies. They’ve been on ten (10) national tours, average 150 shows per year, and have toured internationally in Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Holland, and Canada. This tremendous work ethic has honed a live show that would impress the most critical of rock critics.
“We have been trying out some of the new material at our shows,” says guitarist Milam Byers, “and the crowds are really digging it. These songs are packed with energy. That’s been our goal in approaching this new album—to capture that live energy you get at a show.”
Bleach will finish the remaining tracks for the new album in early spring before embarking on a promotional tour this summer.
