&SEARCH 2 Timothy 1:12, “For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.”
Men, Women, Children, Teenagers, if YOU are persuaded that he is able to keep that which you have committed unto him against that day, this message is for you. If you believe the above verse, this message is for you.
Leviticus 27:32, “And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the Lord.”
Whatever comes into your possession, the tenth of it shall be the Lord’s. What if you get a brand new shirt? Should you tear off a sleeve and give it to the church? Of course not. That would be ridiculous. But, you can give 10% of the estimated value of the shirt. It’s already the Lord’s in the first place, what makes you think you deserve it?
Ecclesiastes 3:20, “All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.”
We have to lay our treasures up in Heaven and ONE of the ways that we do that is to give back to God what is his anyways. If we are going back to the dust, what good are we anyways? Are we REALLY persuaded that he is able to keep that which we have committed unto him against that day?
Malachi 3:8, “Will a man rob God? Yet, ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
That hurts, doesn’t it? Who are we to think we can rob God? Shame on us. When the Bible—God’s holy word— says tithes AND offerings, that is exactly what it means.
Please, don’t be a person who robs God. Let’s purpose in our heart TODAY that we are going to be persuaded that he is able to keep that which we have committed unto him against that day.
