~ A devotional for Valentine’s Week ~
Be Encouraged: Be Content
I have learned to be content with whatever I have. I know what it is to have little, and I know what it is to have plenty. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being well-fed and of going hungry, of having plenty and of being in need.
—Philippians 4:11-12
When you are in love with God, walking and talking with Him, you learn to be content whether on top of the world, or in the valley—there is a peace the world can’t take away or understand.
This Valentine’s season, learn to trust the Lord and His process no matter what, and you will always be content. Fall in love with God, and He will always be there for you. His love will help you be content with whatever you have.
Prayer:
Father, I repent, forgive me, I am broken and a sinner. Fill me with Your joy and satisfaction as You teach me how to be content in all situations. With You, I purpose to be content both when I’m in lack and when I abound, thankful because You are always with me and You promised to supply all of my needs. Help me when it doesn’t look or feel the way I want. That I not focus on my lack or wants. As I trust You, I am and will be content, in Jesus’ Mighty Name by the Holy Spirit I pray and praise. Amen.
