Danny Gokey has earned another honor, but this time it was for his late wife, Sophia. This week Gokey performed at the L.A. Dream Center event and joined Dream Center founder, Matthew Barnett, in naming the Youth Outreach Center for his late wife, Sophia. American Idol’s Danny Gokey honored at L.A. Dream Center.
A voice that is often associated with the holidays due to her popular Christmas carols and her legendary annual Christmas spectacular, gospel music diva Sandi Patty is releasing Sandi Patty Christmas LIVE, her first live project in almost 10 years. 10/27/9 With her first-ever holiday offering Christmas Like This releasing November 10th, Ayiesha Woods is now slated to join Natalie Grant on the “Believe” Christmas tour during the month of December.
10/17/09 If you do not have plans for October 30 yet, I have just the Halloween eve event! Kevin Max is bringing his Monster Mash to The Rutledge in downtown Nashville on Friday, October 30th. The music event is for the 18 and older crowd, and will feature an evening of 80’s-themed cover songs by former dcTalk member Kevin Max. 10/15/9 Following its farewell US tour, the UK-based, RIAA Certified Gold-selling, GRAMMY-nominated and Dove Award winning band Delirious? releases its History Makers: Greatest Hits CD Nov. 6 worldwide and Nov. 17 in the US on Kingsway (Survivor) with EMI CMG Distribution. Known as the forerunners of the modern worship movement and as one of the industry’s best live bands, Delirious? is saying “farewell” throughout the US with a final, two-night event at the Dallas Convention Center Oct. 23-24.

10/1/9 GMA Dove award winning, GRAMMY® nominated and platinum selling artist and worship leader Chris Tomlin will release his first Christmas record, Glory In The Highest: Christmas Songs of Worship with sixstepsrecords on October 6.
Inspired by recent life changes and learning experiences, Todd Agnew will release his fifth studio project Need Oct. 6 on Ardent/INO Records.
Relient K’s most recent recording Forget and Not Slow Down will hit stores on Oct. 6.
Christian rock band Sonsofday has announced plans to release their sophomore album Autumn Heart (1964 Records) on October 12th.
Decyfer Down, whose current single “Desperate” recently topped the Christian Rock Radio chart at No. 1, will be sharing the stage with Hawk Nelson as they accompany headliner Skillet on their “Awake & Alive” tour and they travel across the U.S. hitting major markets such as New York City, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Phoenix, Seattle, Dallas and Chicago. The tour kicked off in September and carries on through December 6th.

TobyMac will continue to entertain audiences across the country with his fifth annual Winter Wonder Slam 2009 Tour. The lineup also features the talents of: Relient K, B. Reith and Stephanie Smith. Continuing the Winter Wonder Slam tradition of giving, the tour will be teaming up with the U.S. Marine Corps to help with their Toys for Tots campaign. Music fanatics will be encouraged to bring an unwrapped gift to the event as Marines will be on site to collect toys at every venue.
Brandon Heath and Leeland will co-headline the “Follow You Tour” fall, along with special guest Francesca Battistelli. The tour is named for the first single from Leeland’s album which is a duet with Heath. The 43-city this tour will offer fans the chance to sponsor a child through Food for the Hungry.
Paramore’s third album, Brand New Eyes, is released on September 29, 2009. Paramore’s gospel fans are eager to discover if more of Paramore’s gospel roots will be showing on Brand New Eyes. For more on Paramore see The Gospel According to Paramore.
