Teaming up with Flicker Records’ Nevertheless and Word Entertainments’ Remedy Drive, INO Records’ The Afters are bringing music and Christmas cheer as the headliner for the 12 Days of Christmas tour. The tour will make stops in nine cities starting Dec. 2.

11/18/08 It’s been called the “home of American music” and “country’s most famous stage,” and this Friday, November 21st, MercyMe’s Bart Millard will make his Grand Ole’ Opry Debut at the famed Ryman Auditorium. MercyMe will be backing up Millard as he sings “Stand Up Stand Up for Jesus” from the critically-acclaimed HYMNED AGAIN project, as well as the band’s upcoming single “Finally Home,” from their best-selling CD, ALL THAT IS WITHIN ME.
11/7/08 Vote for your favorite artist to win at the 2008 American Music Awards. Voting closes tonight, November 7,, at 11:59 PM PT. Casting Crowns and rock band Third Day both received American Music Award (AMA) nominations for “Favorite Artist” in the Contemporary Inspirational category. Casting Crowns, who won this category at last year’s show, celebrates its fourth consecutive nomination while Third Day is honored with its third career nod. The 36th Annual AMA’s will air Sunday, November 23rd (8:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) on ABC.
11/6/08 Last weekend,singer/songwriter/worship leader Matt Maher was honored with two Christian music awards at two separate ceremonies: Praise and Worship Album of the Year and Artist of the Year. Maher received the Praise and Worship Album of the Year for Empty & Beautiful at the Covenant Awardâ’s 30th Anniversary in Calgary, Alberta on October 24. The Covenant Awards are part of GMA Canada Week, which includes five days of artist-related activities for Christian musicians. Maher, a Newfoundland native, was nominated in five categories, including New Artist of the Year. The following day, Maher was honored with Artist of the Year at the 9th annual Unity Awards in New Orleans. The Unity Awards are held by the United Catholic Music and Video Association.
11/6/08 Michael W. Smith’s 21st album A New Hallelujah (10/28) debuted today at No.1 on the Nielsen SoundScan Christian Albums Chart with more than 23,000 in first week sales. On March 17, 2009, Smith will unveil an accompanying DVD of the moving worship event.
Anne Murray’s Christmas Album is a classic collection of Christmas favorites complete with the addition of magical duets with multi-Platinum artist Michael Buble on “Baby It’s Cold Outside” and a bonus track of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” with Grammy Award winning jazz vocalist, Diana Krall. The latter was originally recorded for a CBC Television special in 2001. The day of the taping, Murray and Krall decided to sing the carol as a duet. The end result was a new classic by two of the most distinctive voices in music today.
11/1/08 On the heels of his seventh No. 1 single, releasing his chart-breaking project HELLO LOVE, which took the No. 9 spot on Billboard’s Top 200 Album Chart and was the highest charting iTunes’ debut ever for any album in the Christian industry, Chris Tomlin has announced his HELLO LOVE TOUR, featuring Israel Houghton and New Breed. The nationwide tour, which kicks off on January 22 in Hershey, PA, will hit over 35 cities across the U.S. through April 9th, including Baltimore, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, AZ, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Newark and more.
INO/Columbia Records’ rock band Decyfer Down’s first single, “Crash,” recently peaked at No. 1 on Christian Rock radio. Their digital EP is a preview of four-selected tracks from their upcoming sophomore record, aptly titled CRASH, which crashes into stores Feb. 10.
