2/19/09 The UK-based, RIAA Certified Gold-selling, GRAMMY-nominated and Dove Award winning band Delirious? releases its live CD/DVD, My Soul Sings, March 16 on Sparrow Records. Known as forerunners of the modern worship movement and as one of the industry’s best live bands, Delirious? recorded its brand new live CD/DVD in front of 12,000 fans in Bogotá, Columbia, South America.
New Integrity Music/Gateway Create artist Kari Jobe enjoys the No. 1 CD at Christian retail and the top-selling spot for a week on iTunes Christian album sales chart. Kari Jobe, which sold more than 11,552 units in its first week of sales, according to Nielsen SoundScan, also marks the highest Christian and gospel music debut by a new artist since Mandisa’s first CD release in 2007.

2/1/9 Legendary Gospel soloist George Beverly Shea marked his 100th birthday tonight. Longtime friends, evangelist Billy Graham, music director Cliff Barrows and gospel music legends Bill and Gloria Gaither attended the private event, hosted at the Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove in Asheville, N.C.
On the weekend of February 27 – March 1, the Jonas Brothers in partnership with Disney are releasing a 3D movie that is launching their world tour and new CD. The Jonas Brothers are making 2009 a year in which they do everything with their fans. To that end, they have established an interactive web site: ww.FanFamilyExperience.com. The movie (rated G) — which they hope will be the largest 3D opening in film history — is a wonderful family outing to look forward to, youth group outing to plan for, and general cultural event worth noting.
Dolly Parton, Michael W. Smith, Dr. Bobby Jones, the Dixie Hummingbirds and producer Lari Goss were inducted into the Gospel Music Association Foundation’s Gospel Music Hall of Fame in February.

The first single, “It’s Your Love” is available for purchase on iTunes and some of the proceeds will go to Malaria No More. When the GRAMMY nominations were announced last night, Columbia/Integrity Music’s Mary Mary earned three nominations and joined Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Blind Boys of Alabama and Tye Tribbett whose Integrity projects will be up for music’s highest honor on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on CBS TV.
