Army Wives: Complete Fourth Season
is as charming and fresh as the past seasons of this series have been. The most successful series in Lifetime Television’s history, Army Wives boasts a stellar cast including Kim Delaney (“NYPD Blue”), Catherine Bell (“JAG”), Sally Pressman (My Best Friend’s Girl), Brigid Brannagh (“Over There”), Sterling K. Brown (Righteous Kill), and Brian McNamara (“Billionaire Boys Club”) in a relatively authentic look at the family lives of the servicemen and women who serve our country in the US Army.
I liked Season Four better than the last season as the focus returned more the the families and was less focused on titillating affairs. Army Wives: The Complete Fourth Season follows Roxy and Denise as one deals with a miscarriage and the other with an unexpected pregnancy. Denise also must deal with her son Jeremy’s apparent suicide attempt. Trevor gets a new promotion while Pamela and Chase grow further apart. Claudia Joy returns to law school while her daughter battles to return to the ice. Roland and Joan juggle being new parents with Joan’s deployment and subsequent brain injury and return stateside.
In addition to musical performances from Wynonna Judd and ‘Five for Fighting,’ the exciting fourth season of Army Wives features a host of guest stars including: Harry Hamlin, Ann Margaret, Gabrielle Union, Alex Miller, the return of Rhoda Griffis (Lenore from the series’ first season) and Jill Biden, Vice President Joe Biden’s wife.
The four-disc set includes all 18 episodes from Season Four of the Army drama, plus over 60 minutes of never-before-seen bonus features, including Bloopers and Deleted Scenes.
Army Wives: The Complete Fourth Season released on DVD on 12/14/10 and is more family friendly than its predecessor yet still full of the drama and action that make it an addictive viewing experience.
