Arizona-based rock band Re:Zound is set to release their new project, Re:Worship, on July 15.
Re:Zound first made ripples in the world of independent bands several years ago with their debut release, which mainstream music giant MTV proclaimed their “#1 Undiscovered Band of 2001.” Now, after turning down offers from mainstream labels and changing their name, this band is ready to turn those ripples into waves. While keeping their distinct aggressive sound on Re:Worship, Re:Zound turns to more worship-oriented lyrics to create a biblically sound, full-out rock worship album.
“I’ve been studying the subject of Praise & Worship a lot,” comments lead singer Jason Anderson. “I picked up every book I could find on worship. I studied the life of David, who was an incredible worshiper of God. I wanted to write a worship album that was straight out of the Bible.”
Re:Zound, the worship band at Living Word Bible Church in Mesa, AZ, recently returned from a mission trip to India. The group traveled overseas with Dick Bernal’s Jubilee International Ministries and performed in front of over 30,000 people in early 2003. The band plans to revisit India with T.L. Osbourne next year, where they are expected to perform before 1 million people.
The recently launched Wrinkle Free Records is an independent record label founded by Living Word Bible Church in Mesa, AZ, which is seen nationally every week on the ABC Family Channel. “It is our vision that Wrinkle Free Records would become a source of passionate worship material for the world,” says Senior Pastor Dr. C. Thomas Anderson. Wrinkle Free Records derives its name from Ephesians 5:25-27 (“ŠChrist loved the churchŠ he made it pure by washing it with waterŠso that he would have a glorious and holy church, without faults or spots or wrinkles.”)
RE:Worship is the first album from Wrinkle Free Records and will be distributed by Spring Arbor, New Day, Wesscott and CBD Distribution.
