On Thursday, March 15th, Grammy and Dove Award-nominated
pop/rockers All Star United will debut never-before-heard material from their
as-yet untitled new project at a special performance at Nashville’s Exit/In.
The band has been holed up in studios around Nashville recording the
follow-up album to their critically-acclaimed 1998 release, “International
Anthems For The Human Race” (Essential/Zomba). The process to complete this
new project, due to release this summer, has resulted in a renewed passion
and purpose for the band:
“The writing and recording of this new album has been an amazing process,”
says lead singer/songwriter Ian Eskelin. “I can honestly say that I have
never had this much fun putting a record together. Everything has been so
smooth and easy. The songs have so much energy in them reminiscent of rock
legends like the Rolling Stones and Kinks, with a little Elton John thrown in
for good measure. I think that people are going to be blown away. These are
songs that have definitely come from the heart.”
To promote the upcoming show, discuss the new album, and bring fans
up-to-speed on the latest All Star United happenings, the band will be this
Sunday’s featured artist on 102.9/WZPC’s “Local Buzz Show” hosted by Aljon,
beginning at 10:00 p.m. CST.
Joining All Star United at their March 15th Exit/In show are special guests
Bleach and The Issues. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $7.00 at the
door. This concert is 18 & over. Exit/In is located at 2208 Elliston Place
in Nashville. For more information, call 615-333-1991.
