~ Rhett Walker and KSBJ team up for “Gobble Song” for Thanksgiving ~
If you have ever bemoaned the lack of current Thanksgiving songs, moan no more.
in years past we have had a few songs show up with a Thanksgiving theme. Songs that are worth a listen on Thanksgiving include:
- “I’ve Got Plenty to Be Thankful For” by Bing Crosby.
- “Thanksgiving Theme” by Vince Guaraldi Trio.
- “Thanksgiving Prayer” by Joanne Cash.
Then there is the classic hymn “We Gather Together (to Ask the Lord’s Blessing),” a staple in many homes and churches at Thanksgiving.
But now we have a song and video that trumps them all for a humorous look at the reality of Thanksgiving, the Gobble Song from Christian artist Rhett Walker and KSJB radio.
You may be familiar with his classic “Gospel Song.” Now Walker has taken his much-loved Christian song and changed the lyrics, even participating in the accompanying video to bring some seasonal Thanksgiving joy to a somewhat musically neglected holiday.
