Gene Higgins, President of the Christian Country Music Association (CCMA) Announces the 2002, 8th Annual Award Show which will be live at the Ryman Auditorium Thursday, November 5th, 2002. Several networks such as Daystar Television Network, KRUV Channel 21 out of Chico, CA., WLMB TV 40 out of Perrysburg, OH, KATH TV Channel 17 out of Juneau, AK, KBVU Channel 29 out of Eureka, CA., and CTS out of Canada are just a few that have already agreed to air this years show. The 8th Annual CCMA Convention will commence just prior to the Awards Shows starting November 1st through November 4th, 2002. Again this year there will be showcases, a talent contest, songwriting contest, daily seminars, autograph signings from major recording artists, Media Appreciation Day and Power Source Magazine # 1 Party, ect?
President Gene Higgins has also proclaimed November as Christian Country Month. Plans are underway for an extensive media campaign to commemorate the first ever Christian Country Month.
