Gold-selling Word recording artist 4HIM returns with Visible, the group’s 12th career release and 10th studio recording, September 23. Produced by Pete Kipley (MercyMe, Rebecca St. James) and Michael Omartian (Eric Clapton, Amy Grant), with one selection produced by 4HIM’s Marty Magehee, Visible features 10 new cuts, combining several praise & worship songs with the message-focused anthems that have defined the group’s signature sound.
4HIM’s Mark Harris penned the title-track and co-wrote seven songs on the project, including “Fill The Earth,” “You Reign,” “Bigger Than Life” and “Candle In The Rain,” all co-written with Tony Wood; “The Final Word,” co-written with Dave Clark and Don Koch; “The Promise,” co-written with Clark; and “Let Your Kingdom Come,” co-written with Joel Lindsey. In addition, Visible features “No Other Reason,” penned by Scott Faircloth, and “It’s All About Jesus,” by Henry Seeley.
“When we talked about making this album, we wanted it to have a thread of worship running through it, but also include the kind of anthems the church has embraced from us through the years,” said Mark Harris. “The producers really captured our heart. We were thrilled to work with Pete Kipley for the first time, and we felt it was very important for Michael Omartian to be involved again because of the role he has played in helping to shape our sound. We wanted our 10th album to be something we would love 10 years from now; we feel Visible is our best album yet.”
“4HIM’s consistency in creating superb music with a timeless message has always impressed me, and these key elements are more prevalent than ever with Visible,” said Barry Landis, president, Word Label Group. “Trends come and go, but 4HIM continues to be at the top of their game as one of Christian music’s most definitive groups.”
In support of Visible, 4HIM recently appeared at the CBA International Convention in Orlando, Florida, and were featured performers at the Gospel Music Association’s “29th Annual Seminar in the Rockies” in Estes Park, Colorado. The group is also slated to headline a “Friday Sing” concert at Chicago’s Moody Church on September 5, which will air live on the Moody Broadcasting Network.
The album’s first single, “Fill The Earth,” will be serviced to Christian AC and Inspirational formats in August.
With sales exceeding 2 million, 24 #1 songs to their credit, a Grammy Award-nomination, and eight Dove Awards, including three Group of the Year honors, Andy Chrisman, Mark Harris, Marty Magehee and Kirk Sullivan, collectively known as 4HIM, are one of the top male vocal groups in Christian music history. 4HIM’s signature songs include “Where There is Faith,” “The Basics of Life,” “For Future Generations” and “The Message,” among many others.
