The Canadian Gospel Music Association has announced the winners of the 25th Annual Covenant Awards held in Ottawa last weekend.
Jody Cross won three categories – Praise and Worship, Inspirational Song of the Year; plus Album of the Year with his second worship CD, “Forward to Forever”.
Downhere scored two awards for Best Song (“What It’s Like”) and Best Album (“So Much for Substitutes”) in the Modern Rock/Alternative category.
In the pop/contemporary category, Janelle garnered the Best Album award for “New Day”, while Carolyn Arends won the Best Album award for “We’ve Been Waiting for You” in the Inspirational section.
