12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

Zechariah 14:12 NIV

September is US national preparedness month, so now is as good a time as any to get prepared. Whether it is a natural disaster, a man-made disaster or perhaps the zombie apocalypse, it pays to have some good plans in place. Most Zombie movies seem to deal more with preparation and survival during an outbreak, and less with any demonic activities.

Which cities are the most prepared for a hostile takeover of some sort, be it zombies, aliens, or violent men? In the (unlikely?) event of a zombie outbreak, where do the living have the best chance of making it out alive?

With a new spinoff series of “The Walking Dead” premiering Sept. 10, Lawn Love ranked 2023’s Best Cities for Surviving a Zombie Apocalypse.

They compared the 200 biggest U.S. cities based on five zombie survival categories: Vulnerability, Hideouts, Supplies, Protection, and Mobility. The considered population density, access to “bunkers,” and hunting gear stores, for example, among 30 total metrics. See the 10 best cities for surviving a zombie apocalypse below.
