The 2005 Hillsong Conference is happening! CeCe Winans, Darlene Zschech and Michael W Smith will lead worship in the Sydney Superdome this week.
Speakers include Joyce Meyer, Reinhardt Bonnke, John Maxwell, Brian Houston and Jack Hayford.
Also this week, Hillsong Church releases its 14th live album, “God He Reigns.”
Three of the church’s previous live albums debuted in the top five of the national ARIA chart, with last year’s release, “For All You’ve Done”, going straight to number one.
Principal worship leader Darlene Zschech says the goal of “God He Reigns” is not to reach number one on the mainstream charts, but “to reach number one in the heart of God.” “In blessing the heart of God, I want to show people an authentic worship experience, where they can experience the presence of God, maybe in ways they haven’t before,” Darlene says. “And if somehow we can give the ordinary man, woman or child a song to sing to express their love of Jesus Christ… ,then we’re doing a great thing,” she says.
After Hillsong, CeCe Winans will present a concert in Melbourne at Richmond AOG on Friday 8 July. Michael W Smith will also appear at Brisbane’s Citipointe (COC) Mansfield on Friday 8 July and at Melbourne’s Festival Hall on 9 July.
